A method was established for the determination of 98 volatile organic compounds (VOC_s ) in atmosphere by GCMS.VOCs in atmosphere were concentrated using cold trap technology followed by thermal desorption into a capillary column for gas chromatography with FID detection and MS.The 98 VOCs were separated,qualitatively and quantitatively determined.The method detection limits ranged between 0.008 and 0.090 ppb (V/V),and the linearity coefficients R2 were between 0.992 7 and 1.The relative standard deviations were in the range of 4.0%~20.2% and the population standard deviations were in the range of 0.154 2~0.952 1.
