Abstract:
In April 2017, One month's atmospheric particle number size distribution observation was conducted at Jiangsu Provincial Environmental Monitoring Center using APS and SMPS systems produced by TSI Inc. The following results were obtained from the data analysis: in typical month of spring in Nanjing, the average value of atmospheric particle number concentration and its volume concentration were 1.64×104cm-3 and 1.65×106μm3/m3, respectively. The number concentration ratio of nuclear mode, Aitken mode, accumulation mode and rough particle mode were 22.72%, 53.52% ,23.72 % and 0.05%, and the ratios of volume concentration were 0.01%, 1.76%, 55.82% and 42.41%. The average daily variation of particle number concentration showed bimodal peak. There is a high degree of correlation between volume concentration and mass concentration of PM2.5. There are some newborn particle events, hourly number concentration of 3~10 nm particle can reach more than 7 500/cm-3.
